This vulnerability allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code on vulnerable installations of Microsoft Windows Media Center. User interaction is required to exploit this vulnerability in that the target must visit a malicious page or open a malicious file.

The specific flaw exists within Microsoft Windows Media Center. By providing a specially crafted Office document, it is possible to corrupt certain allocations that lead to memory corruption. An attacker could leverage this to execute arbitrary code in the context of the current process.
