Adobe Reader Folder Level Script Objects Overwrite Remote Code Execution Vulnerability
Vulnerability Details
This vulnerability allows remote attackers to unload folder level scripts on vulnerable installations of Adobe Reader. User interaction is required to exploit this vulnerability in that the target must visit a malicious page or open a malicious file.
The specific flaw exists within the objects in app.doc. By creating a specially crafted PDF with specific JavaScript instructions, it is possible to overwrite various objects methods from the document level. A remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability to execute arbitrary code.
