Hewlett Packard Enterprise Intelligent Management Center TopoMsgServlet Deserialization of Untrusted Data Remote Code Execution Vulnerability
Vulnerability Details
This vulnerability allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code on vulnerable installations of Hewlett Packard Enterprise Intelligent Management Center. Although authentication is required to exploit this vulnerability, the existing authentication mechanism can be bypassed.
The specific flaw exists within TopoMsgServlet servlet, which listens on TCP ports 8080 and 8443 by default. The issue results from the lack of proper validation of user-supplied data, which can result in deserialization of untrusted data. An attacker can leverage this vulnerability to execute arbitrary code under the context of SYSTEM.
