This vulnerability allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code on vulnerable installations of Apple macOS. User interaction is required to exploit this vulnerability in that the target must visit a malicious page or open a malicious file.

The specific flaw exists within the implementation of the QuartzCore module. The issue results from the lack of proper handling of error conditions prior to indexing into a buffer. An attacker can leverage this vulnerability to execute code under the context of the current process.
