Microsoft Windows JScript String Manipulation Integer Overflow Remote Code Execution Vulnerability
Vulnerability Details
This vulnerability allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code on vulnerable installations of Microsoft Windows. User interaction is required to exploit this vulnerability in that the target must visit a malicious page or open a malicious file.
The specific flaw exists within the code that implements various built-in string manipulation functions in JScript. By performing actions in JScript, an attacker can trigger an integer overflow before writing to memory. An attacker can leverage this vulnerability to execute code under the context of the current process.
