Advantech WebAccess NMS DownloadAction Servlet Directory Traversal Information Disclosure Vulnerability
Vulnerability Details
This vulnerability allows remote attackers to disclose sensitive information on vulnerable installations of Advantech WebAccess NMS. Authentication is not required to exploit this vulnerability.
The specific flaw exists within the DownloadAction servlet. When parsing the filename and taskname parameters, the process does not properly validate a user-supplied path prior to using it in file operations. An attacker can leverage this vulnerability to disclose sensitive information under the context of SYSTEM.
