Apple Safari WebGL Out-Of-Bounds Access Remote Code Execution Vulnerability
Vulnerability Details
This vulnerability allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code on vulnerable installations of Apple Safari. User interaction is required to exploit this vulnerability in that the target must visit a malicious page or open a malicious file.
The specific flaw exists within the handling of WebGLRenderingContext's drawElements method. The issue results from the lack of proper validation of user-supplied data, which can result in a memory access outside of an allocated buffer. An attacker can leverage this vulnerability to execute code under the context of the current process.
