Adobe Flash Player navigateToURL Same-Origin Policy Bypass Remote Code Execution Vulnerability

Vulnerability Details

This vulnerability allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code on affected installations of Adobe Flash Player. User interaction is required to exploit this vulnerability in that the target must visit a malicious page or open a malicious file.

The specific flaw exists within the behavior of the navigateToURL function in ActionScript. By performing actions in ActionScript, an attacker can execute script in a privileged context in violation of the same-origin policy. An attacker can leverage this vulnerability to execute code in the context of the current user.
