Dell EMC Storage Monitoring and Reporting Java RMI Deserialization of Untrusted Data Remote Code Execution Vulnerability
Vulnerability Details
This vulnerability allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code on affected installations of Dell EMC Storage Monitoring and Reporting. Authentication is not required to exploit this vulnerability.
The specific flaw exists within the Java RMI service, which listens on TCP port 52569 by default. The issue results from the lack of proper validation of user-supplied data, which can result in deserialization of untrusted data. An attacker can leverage this vulnerability to execute code in the context of SYSTEM.
