Cisco Data Center Network Manager JBoss_4_2Encrypter Hardcoded Cryptographic Key Information Disclosure Vulnerability

Vulnerability Details

This vulnerability allows remote attackers to disclose sensitive information on affected installations of Cisco Data Center Network Manager. Although authentication is required to exploit this vulnerability, the existing authentication mechanism can be bypassed.

The specific flaw exists within the configuration of the internal database. A hardcoded encryption key allows any user who accesses the encrypted password for the database to obtain the plaintext password. An attacker can leverage this in conjunction with other vulnerabilities to execute code in the context of SYSTEM.
