This vulnerability allows remote attackers to disclose sensitive information on affected installations of Advantech WebAccess/NMS. Authentication is not required to exploit this vulnerability. The specific flaw exists within the processing of calls to the updateManageddevicetopo method of the DBUtil class. When parsing the newID parameter of the TopogroupAction.action endpoint, the process does not properly validate a user-supplied string before using it to construct SQL queries. An attacker can leverage this vulnerability to disclose files under the context of SYSTEM. |
