Apache HTTPD Server ap_escape_html2 Integer Overflow Remote Code Execution Vulnerability
Vulnerability Details
This vulnerability allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code on affected installations of Apache HTTPD Server. Authentication is not required to exploit this vulnerability.
The specific flaw exists within the ap_escape_html2 function. The issue results from the lack of proper validation of user-supplied data, which can result in an integer overflow before allocating a buffer. An attacker can leverage this vulnerability to execute code in the context of the service account.
