This vulnerability allows local attackers to escalate privileges on affected installations of Panda Security Dome. An attacker must first obtain the ability to execute low-privileged code on the target system in order to exploit this vulnerability.

The specific flaw exists within the Hydra Sdk Windows Service. The issue lies in the lack of proper permissions set on a folder created by the service. An attacker can leverage this vulnerability to escalate privileges and execute arbitrary code in the context of SYSTEM.

06/26/24 – ZDI asked for updates.
07/26/24 – ZDI informed the vendor that since we have not received a response that we will publish the reports as zero-day advisories on 07/29/24
