This vulnerability allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code on vulnerable installations of America Online's Toolbar, Desktop, IM, and winamp. User interaction is required to exploit this vulnerability in that the target must visit a malicious page or open a malicious file.
The specific flaw exists within the dnUpdater ActiveX Control. When initializing the ActiveX control object, dnu.exe assumes the 5th argument being used for the Init() method, to be a legitimate pointer to a function.
