This vulnerability allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code on affected installations of Microsoft Edge. User interaction is required to exploit this vulnerability in that the target must visit a malicious page or open a malicious file while in Internet Explorer mode. The specific flaw exists within the handling of the ms-its: URI scheme. A crafted URI can result in unconstrained execution of script in a downloaded file, irrespective of the presence of the Mark-Of-The-Web. An attacker can leverage this vulnerability to execute code in the context of the current user at medium integrity. |
